Disconnect grease tube (1) from fitting (3) .
Remove bolts (4) that hold the carrier bearing to the frame of the machine.
Remove the carrier bearing housings from the front drive shaft.

Remove bolts (6) that hold carrier bearing housings (5) and (7) together.
Remove carrier bearing housing (5) from carrier bearing housing (7) .

Remove lip type seal (8) from carrier bearing housing (5) .

Remove O-ring seal (10) and bearing (9) from carrier bearing housing (7) .

Remove lip type seal (11) from carrier bearing housing (7) .Installation Procedure

Use Tooling (A) to install lip type seal (8) in carrier bearing housing (5). Be sure that the lip type seal makes contact with the counterbore of the carrier bearing housing.

Apply 5P-0960 Molybdenum Grease on the lip of the seal in carrier bearing housing (7). Install carrier bearing housing (7) .

Install bearing (9) .

Install O-ring seal (10) in the carrier bearing housing.

Apply 5P-0960 Molybdenum Grease on the lip of the seal in carrier bearing housing (5). Install carrier bearing housing (5). Install the bolts that hold the two carrier bearing housings together.

Install bolts (4) that hold the carrier bearing housings to the frame of the machine.
Connect tube (1) to the carrier bearing.

Install yoke (12), the O-ring seal, the retainer and the bolt.
Fill the carrier bearing housings with 5P-0960 Molybdenum Grease. If there is a leakage of grease between the lip type seal and the yoke, replace the lip type seal.
Remove yoke (12), the O-ring seal, the retainer and the bolt.

Remove the lifting strap from the front drive shaft (2) .End By: Install the parking brake. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Parking Brake - Install".
