Installation Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.
Place the following components in position in body (7): valve (8), spring (9) and pin (10). Then install pin (11).
Install the valve assembly in housing (12).

Install the bolts and check valve (3) on prelubrication oil pump (5).
Place prelubrication oil pump (5) in position on the bracket on the engine oil pan. Install the bolts that hold the prelubrication oil pump in place.
Install the elbows and tube (4), if necessary.
Connect tube assembly (2) to check valve (3).
Connect harness assembly (6), if necessary.
Connect tube assembly (1), if necessary.
Fill the engine oil pan with oil to the correct level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Oil - Change".
