1. Attach a hoist to the elevator chain. Raise the chain until weight is off two small rollers.2. Remove the upper retaining bolt from each roller mounting bracket so that the rollers will pivot away from chain.3. Place a cable or sling through each elevator chain to keep chain in position during pin removal.4. Remove the cotter pin and retaining pin from each chain.5. Attach a retaining cable or sling around one of the flights and elevator frame to prevent chain from falling.Connect Elevator Chain
1. Using a hoist and cable or sling, pull the chain together and install retaining pins and cotter pins.2. Attach a hoist to the chain and raise chain to provide clearance to position rollers.3. Position the rollers and install mounting bracket bolt on each side.4. Lower the elevator chain to the rollers.
