Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the flexible exhaust pipe between DOC and the SCR. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Flexible Exhaust Pipe - Remove and Install (Flexible Exhaust Pipe Between DOC and the SCR)" for the correct procedure.
Remove the flexible exhaust pipe from the turbocharger and the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Flexible Exhaust Pipe - Remove and Install (Flexible Exhaust Pipe from the Turbocharger and the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC))" for the correct procedure.
Remove the Diesel Emission Fluid (DEF) injector. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "DEF Injector and Mounting - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.

Remove bolts (2) and nut (6) from DOC (1). Support the DOC as the bolts and nut are removed.
Remove DOC (1) from bracket (3) and bracket (4).
If necessary, remove stud (5) (not shown) from DOC (1). Make temporary mark on the stud to shown position for assembly purposes.
If necessary, remove bracket (3) and bracket (4) from flywheel housing (7). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Support and Mounting (CEM) - Remove and Install (Flywheel Housing Mounted DOC)" for the correct procedure. Installation Procedure
Ensure that the CEM and the brackets are free from wear or damage. Replace any component that is worn or damaged.

If necessary, install bracket (3) and bracket (4) to flywheel housing (6). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Support and Mounting (CEM) - Remove and Install (Flywheel Housing Mounted DOC)" for the correct procedure.
If necessary, install stud (5) (not shown) to DOC (1). Tighten the stud to a torque of 11 N m (97 lb in).
Position DOC (1) onto bracket (3) and bracket (4). Install bolts (2) and nut (6) to the DOC. Support the DOC as the bolts and nut are installed.
Tighten bolts (2) and nut (6) to a torque of 25 N m (221 lb in).
If a new DOC has been installed, go to the electronic service tool and select the "Service" menu, then "Oxidation Catalyst Replacement Reset". End By:
Install the flexible exhaust pipe between DOC and the SCR. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Flexible Exhaust Pipe - Remove and Install (Flexible Exhaust Pipe Between DOC and the SCR)" for the correct procedure.
Install the flexible exhaust pipe from the turbocharger and the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Flexible Exhaust Pipe - Remove and Install (Flexible Exhaust Pipe from the Turbocharger and the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC))" for the correct procedure.
Install the Diesel Emission Fluid (DEF) injector. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "DEF Injector and Mounting - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
