It is possible for the machine to move suddenly when the brakes are released. This can cause injury to persons on or near the machine.To prevent sudden movement of the machine, put blocks in front of and behind the wheels before the brakes are released. If the machine is to be towed, be sure that the released brake(s) can be reapplied or that the towing machine can stop the machine that is being towed.
First Procedure
Use an external air supply to release the brake. This procedure is preferred because the brakes can be activated with the parking brake control knob or the brake pedal.

Remove the drain valve (2) from the front air reservoir of the tractor.
Install a quick-connect fitting on the reservoir.
Connect an external air supply to the fitting that was previously installed.
Fill the air reservoir.
Disconnect the external air supply.
When the air reservoir has been filled to the correct pressure for operation, the parking brake control knob can be depressed in order to release the brakes.Note: This procedure is good only if the brake actuators are not damaged. If any of the brake actuators are damaged, use the "Second Procedure" in addition to the first procedure.Second Procedure

Location of Retraction Bolt in Brake Actuator (3) Bumper
Remove bumper (3) from the brake actuator.
Install the retraction bolt in the top of the brake actuator.
Tighten the retraction bolt until the brake is released.Third Procedure
Disconnect the brakes by using the following steps:Note: The brakes cannot be activated until the brakes are reconnected.

Brake Actuator and Slack Adjuster (4) Yoke (5) Pin (6) Lock bolt (7) Cotter pin (8) Adjusting shaft
Loosen lock bolt (6) on the slack adjuster.
Turn adjusting shaft (8) so that yoke (4) moves down. Turn adjusting shaft (8) until pin (5) can be moved freely.
Remove cotter pin (7) and pin (5) from yoke (4) .
The brake is now released.
