Remove two bolts (1).

Install Tooling (A). Remove remaining bolts (1).

Remove spacer (2). Slide vibration damper (3) on Tooling (A).

Attach a suitable lifting device onto vibration damper (3). The weight of vibration damper (3) is approximately 195 kg (430 lb). Slide vibration damper (3) to the end of Tooling (A). Remove vibration damper (3). Installation Procedure

Attach a suitable lifting device onto vibration damper (3). The weight of vibration damper (3) is approximately 195 kg (430 lb). Install Tooling (A). Position vibration damper (3) onto Tooling (A). Slide vibration damper (3) on Tooling (A). Remove the suitable lifting device.

Position vibration damper (3). Apply engine oil to spacer (2) and position spacer (2) onto Tooling (A).

Apply engine oil under the bolt heads. Install four bolts (1) in the countersink holes and finger tighten. Remove Tooling (A).

Apply engine oil under eight remaining bolt heads. Install bolts (1) and finger tighten.

Ensure the bolt head seats in the four countersink holes.
First, tighten the four countersink bolts A, B, C, D pattern. Tighten four bolts (1) to a torque of 350 50 N m (258 37 lb ft).
Use a star pattern in tightening the eight remaining bolts (1). Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 350 50 N m (258 37 lb ft).
Tighten the bolts a second time using the same patterns. Tighten all bolts (1) to a torque of 700 50 N m (516 37 lb ft).
