Route Grease Hose Assembly (1) down the side of the Output Transfer Gear. Secure the hose to the dipstick with 3S-2093 Cable Straps .

Secure Grease Hose Assembly (1) to the elbow of the dipstick tube with a 3S-2093 Cable Strap .

Orientate Elbow (C) as shown in Illustration 38.
Pump grease into the grease hose at the grease nipple for the hose. Ensure that grease comes out of the grease hose in order to confirm there is no trapped air in the grease hose.

Connect Grease Hose Assembly (1) to Elbow (C) .

Install Guard (A) .
Check the complete routing of Grease Hose Assembly (1) in order to ensure that there are no fouls and all cable straps are correctly tightened.Installation of an Additional Guard
An additional guard can be installed under the location of the current guard for the grease fitting. The additional guard can be used along with rerouting the grease hose or with the grease hose in the original routing.Fabricate the Additional Guard (5) from structural steel using the following information.

Remove Existing Guard (A) and all mounting components. Disconnect Grease Line (B) and move the grease line to one side.

Remove paint and surface irregularities from the area below the position of the existing guard. Refer to Illustration 43.Note: The installation information shows the Front Suspension Frame connected to the underside of the Front Frame. Alternatively, you can disconnect and lower the Front Suspension Frame. Refer to the relevant Disassembly and Assembly information for your machine to ensure that the Suspension Frame is correctly disconnected and lowered.

Use the information given in Illustration 44 to mark out the position for Additional Guard (5). Place the additional guard in position and check that the additional guard lies flat on the surface of the suspension frame. If not, use a suitable grinder to dress the surface of the suspension frame to a maximum depth of 2 mm (0.08 inch) in order to get the surfaces flat against each other.
Place Additional Guard (5) in position and weld in position with an 8 mm (0.31 inch) fillet weld all the way around.Note: When welding the additional guard in place, ensure that the earthing strap is as close to the weld area as possible. This action
