1 1 9G-5321 Duo-Cone Seal Gp Rubber toric rings and all surfaces in contact with seals must be clean and dry at assembly. Apply a thin layer of oil to the contacting surfaces of the metal seals just before installation. Seal rings must be assembled square with the bore. Toric seals must be installed without bulging or twisting.
Use the following shims as needed, to obtain the required wheel bearing preload. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Final Drive and Brake - Assemble" to assemble the final drive and brake.
2 1 175-2853 Shim Pack Thickness of shim pack is 2.85 mm (0.112 inch).
6 Thickness of one shim is 0.05 mm (0.002 inch).
1 Thickness of one shim is 0.80 mm (0.032 inch).
7 Thickness of one shim is 0.25 mm (0.010 inch).
3 10 121-3120 Bolt Torque to 520 70 N m (380 50 lb ft).
4 1 8M-3837 Magnetic Plug Torque to 70 15 N m (52 11 lb ft).
5 1 9S-8009 O-Ring Plug Torque to 70 15 N m (52 11 lb ft).
6 4 469-1589 Shaft Outside diameter of the planetary shaft is 59.38 0.010 mm (2.338 0.0004 inch).
7 24 514-8981 Taperlock Stud Apply Loctite C5-A to the nut threads of the studs prior to installation.
Apply Loctite 263 to the axle housing threads of the studs prior to installation.
8 24 7X-0851 Nut Torque to 1000 125 N m (738 92 lb ft).
