Adjustment Procedure For The Parking Brake Control
Chock the wheels.

Parking Brake Lever in the ENGAGED Position (1) Parking brake lever (2) Release lever for the parking brake lock (3) Knob for fine adjustment
Place the parking brake in the DISENGAGED position. Depress the release lever (2) and push the parking brake lever (1) downward.
Turn knob (3) clockwise until knob (3) stops.
Turn knob (3) counterclockwise for 20 turns to 25 turns.

Loosen nut (4) and nut (5) .
Tighten nut (5) to 12 2 N m (9 2 lb ft).
Turn nut (5) counterclockwise for 5/6 turn. Verify that the brake disc (6) rotates freely.
Tighten nut (4) against nut (5) . Tighten nut (4) to 61 to 75 N m (45 to 55 lb ft).
Remove the chocks from the wheels.Note: Test the brakes on a dry, level surface.
Check the area around the machine. Make sure that the machine is clear of personnel and clear of obstacles.
Fasten the seat belt before you test the brakes.
If the machine is equipped with All Wheel Drive, place the machine in Two-Wheel Drive.
Engage the parking brake. Pull the parking brake lever (1) upward in order to engage the parking brake .
Start the engine. Raise the bucket slightly.Note: If the machine is equipped with a standard transmission, perform step 15. If the machine is equipped with a power shift transmission, perform step 16.
Perform the parking brake test and adjust for machines that are equipped with a standard transmission.
Place the transmission speed control lever in the THIRD SPEED position.
If the machine begins to move, reduce the engine speed immediately and apply the service brake pedal.
Move the transmission direction control lever to FORWARD, to NEUTRAL, and back to FORWARD. An audible alarm will sound and the alert indicator will light.
Gradually increase the engine speed to high idle. The machine should not move.Note: If the machine moves perform steps 15.d through 15.h. If the machine does not move, proceed to step 17.
