Follow starting procedure. Move the throttle to idle. Elevate cutter from ground.
When the creep-road selector is in the "ROAD" position, machine movement is controlled by the clutch, brake and throttle control. The creep speed and direction control is used to control machine motion when the machine is in the creep mode.
Depress clutch. Put the creep-road selector in "ROAD" position.
If the creep-road shift will not engage fully, slowly release the clutch until it just begins to engage while pushing on the creep-road shift. This will enable the creep-road shift gears to fully mesh. Grinding of gears will induce permanent damage. (Repeat as necessary.)
Be certain the rear wheels are centered before switching the steer control to the "FRONT" position.
Be sure the steer selector lever is up in the "FRONT" position. Shift transmission to desired gear. Release parking brake.Move throttle to 1/4 throttle. Slowly release clutch pedal to engage clutch. Control the machine speed by moving the throttle lever.
Unexpected abrupt movement of machine while traveling. Machine suspension is not designed for high speed travel and can be particularly dangerous on rough ground if machine speed is not kept in check. Pay attention to overhangs, obstacles, ditches or holes, etc.
There is not a reverse position in the road mode. To reverse the machine, the transmission must be placed in the "CREEP" mode and the creep speed/direction control lever is used to propel the machine in reverse.
