Shut off vibratory system before stopping machine.
Continued vibratory compaction while machine is stopped will cause excessive compaction of ground resulting in deep indentation.
Move propel lever to center stop position. (This creates dynamic braking. If additional braking is needed, use foot brake.)
Propel lever must be moved to center stop position before using brakes. Failure to do so will result in premature failure of the foot brake. Always leave propel lever in stop position when machine is parked.
Move throttle lever back to idle and allow engine to run for 2 minutes before shutting off. Lower leveling blade. Turn key switch to off. Remove key. Check to make sure parking brake is set.a. Push parking brake knob down to apply. S/N 6JD112 & up.b. Depress parking brake foot pedal to apply brake. S/N 6JD1-111.
