Angular operation of feeder control sensor.The amount the sensor arm and paddle must move before the amperage begins to decrease is determined by the setting of a feeder sensor switch. When the switch is at "H", the amperage starts to decrease when the sensor arm reaches 30 degrees from vertical. See Illustration. When the switch is at "M", the maximum amperage starts to decrease when the arm reaches 15 degrees from vertical. If the switch is at "L", the amperage begins to decrease as soon as the arm is moved from vertical. During normal operation it is recommended that the switches be set at "M".
The sensitivity switch is located in the center console on AP-1200 Asphalt Pavers, 2JD1 through 2J242. On AP-1200 Asphalt Pavers, 2JD243-Up, the switches are located in each screed control box.
