1. Drain the fuel tank using the drain valve (1) located on the front of the tank.2. Block the left side of the machine up approximately six inches in order to tilt the fuel tank so that the remaining fuel is on the right side of the tank. This will help to improve access to the contaminants.3. Remove the fuel suction tube assembly (2) and eliminate any obstructions or contaminants within the tubes.4. Remove the fill tube assembly in order to gain access to the tank opening (3).5. Remove any remaining fuel in the tank through the access holes (3) and (4).6. Use an air operated shop vacuum to remove any further contaminants. Inspect the tank to ensure all contaminants have been removed. 7. Remove and replace the 117-4089 Element-Water Separator (5). The remaining two fuel filters will not need to be replaced.8. Connect the fuel lines at the tank as shown. Connecting the fuel lines incorrectly will draw the fuel directly off the bottom of the tank, which is not desirable.9.
