Remove piston assemblies (33) and slipper retainer (34) from barrel assembly (32) .

Remove slipper guide (35) from barrel assembly (32) .

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
Note: There is spring force against retaining ring (39). When retaining ring (39) is removed, the spring force will be released. To prevent possible injury, use a press for removal of the internal components in barrel assembly (32). Use the press in order to retain spring (40) and the shims.
Position barrel assembly (32) in a press. Install a suitable piece of square steel stock against spring (40). Compress spring (40) slightly with the press. Use a screwdriver in order to remove retaining ring (39) and slowly release the spring compression.
Remove shim (38), spring (40), and shim (37) from the barrel assembly.

Remove swashplate (41) from propel pump (5) .

Remove valve plate (42) and guide pin (43) from propel pump (5) .

Remove screw (45), feedback link (44), and link (46) from propel pump (5) .

Remove bolts (48), servo assembly (47), and the gasket from propel pump (5) .
