Personal injury or death can result from sudden machine movement.Sudden movement of the machine can cause injury to persons on or near the machine.To prevent injury or death, make sure that the area around the machine is clear of personnel and obstructions before operating the machine.
Drive the machine to a smooth, horizontal surface.

Move propulsion lever (1) to the NEUTRAL position.

Move parking brake switch (2) to the ON position.

Move throttle lever (3) to the LOW IDLE position. Low idle should be 1060 35 rpm.

Move water spray switch (4) into the CONTINUOUS position.
Examine the spray pattern on each drum. The spray stream should hit the drum, and the spray should cover the entire width of the drum.

If the spray does not hit the drum, loosen two clamps (5) and rotate spray bar (6) in order to attain the desired spray direction.
Tighten two clamps (5) .

If the spray does not cover the entire drum, move water spray switch (4) to the OFF position. Use a flat screwdriver in order to rotate the tip of spray nozzles (7). Rotate the tip in order to attain the desired radial spray pattern.
Move water spray switch (4) into the CONTINUOUS position. Recheck the spray pattern. If necessary, repeat Step 7 through Step 9.
When the spray pattern is correct, move water spray switch (4) to the OFF position.
If you are performing this test on a double drum machine, the test is complete. Go to Step 18.

Move emulsion spray switch (8) into the CONTINUOUS position.
Examine the spray pattern on the wheels. The spray stream should hit each wheel, and the spray should cover all the wheels.

If the spray does not hit the wheels, loosen two clamps (9). Rotate spray bar (10) in order to attain the desired spray direction.
Tighten two clamps (9) .
If the spray does not cover all the wheels, move emulsion spray switch (8) to the OFF position. Adjust the spray nozzles in the same manner as Step 9 in order to attain the desired radial spray pattern.
Move emulsion spray switch (8) into the CONTINUOUS position. Recheck the spray pattern. If necessary, repeat Step 15 through Step 17.
Move the engine start switch to the OFF position.
