PLATE AS 5355516 - Caterpillar

1. Turn valve (1) to closed position.2. Remove two lines (2). 3. Loosen set screw (3). Remove two bolts (4).4. Remove pump. For installation of the wash pump, reverse the removal steps.Disassemble & Assemble Wash Pump
Start By:Remove wash pump. 1. Remove filter assembly (1). 2. Remove eight bolts (2) and remove cover (3). 3. Remove gasket (4) and strainer (5). 4. Remove five bolts (6). 5. Remove end plate assembly (7), plate (8) and gear (9). 6. Remove gear and shaft (10). 7. Remove plug (11). 8. Remove gasket (12), spring seat (13), spring (14) and piston (15). 9. Remove plug (16). 10. Remove gasket (17), sleeve retainer (18), sleeve (19) and O-ring (20). 11. Remove snap-ring (21) and washer (22). 12. Remove seal (23). The following steps are for the assembly of the wash pump. All pump components must be cleaned and inspected before assembly. If any components are worn beyond recommended limits they must be replaced. Lubricate all moving parts with clean oil during assembly. Assemble pump with all new seals. 13. Install seal (23). 14. Install washer (22) and snap-ring (21). 15. Install O-ring (20), sleeve (19), sleeve retainer (18), gasket (17) and plug (16). 16. Install piston (15), spring (14), spring seat (13), gasket (12) and plug (11). 17. Install shaft and gear (10).
Align holes (24) for installation of plate (8).
18. Install gear (9), plate (8) and end plate assembly (7). 19. Install five bolts (6). 20. Install strainer (5) and gasket (4). 21. Install cover (3) and eight bolts (2). 22. Replace the filter element and install filter assembly (1).End By:Install wash pump.
