1. Use two people to remove cover (1) from over the track motors. The weight of the cover is 34 Kg (75 lb.). 2. Put a floor jack in position under guard (2). Remove the bolts that hold the guard in place. Lower the guard to the ground. The weight of the guard is 197 Kg (435 lb.) 3. Disconnect hose assemblies (5) and (6) from the track motor. Disconnect hose assembly (3) from the parking brake. Put plugs in the hose assemblies to prevent the loss of hydraulic oil. 4. Fasten a hoist to track motor (7). Remove four bolts (4) and remove the track motor. The weight of the track motor is 45 Kg (100 lb.). The following steps are for the installation of the track motors.5. Be sure that the o-ring seal is in position on the track motor.6. Fasten a hoist to the track motor. Put the motor in position on the parking brake housing. Install the bolts that hold the motor in place.7. Fill the motor with SAE 10W hydraulic oil.8. Remove the plugs from the hose assemblies. Connect hose assemblies (5) and (6) to the motor. Connect hose assembly (3) to the parking brake housing.
To prevent damage to the motor, the case must be filled with hydraulic oil before operation.
9. Put a floor jack in position under guard (2). Lift the guard into position. Install the bolts that hold the guard in place.10. Install cover (1) over the track motor.
Oil must be added to the input shaft cavity in each final drive to prevent a possible failure of the input shaft bearings. The input shaft cavities hold approximately 1 liter (1 quart) of oil. See the Maintenance Manual.
