Remove each valve stem by pulling the valve stem out of the top of the valve section. The valve stem removed will provide adequate clearance to remove the lower solenoid housing assemblies.Note: Valve stems are unique and are matched to each valve section. Do not mix the valve stems.
Remove the bracket that holds the harness for the solenoids on the bottom of the implement valve. Loosen the two M6 bolts with 10 mm (0.4 inch) hex head that hold the right most bottom solenoid housing assembly (3) to the valve section. Remove the solenoid housing assembly.
Working from right to left, remove the remaining bottom solenoid housing assemblies from the valve section. The valve section on the left will need to have the hard line (4) on the bottom removed.
With all the bottom solenoid housing assemblies removed, the spring can be replaced from the bottom of the implement valve. Replace the old spring retainers with the new spring retainers. Take care to keep the new retainers separated from the old retainers.
Reassemble the bottom solenoid housing assemblies from left to right. Reinstall valve stems and take care to reinstall valve stems in the correct valve sections.
Replace the springs in the top of the solenoid housing assemblies. Be sure that the springs are oriented correctly. Take care to keep the new springs separated from the old springs. Reassemble the top solenoid housing assemblies. Replace the old spring retainers with the new spring retainers. Take care to keep the new retainers separated from the old retainers.
Be careful to reassemble and realign the stem with the springs and retainers. Be careful to reassemble with the correct retainer orientation.Note: Be careful when reassembling the parts too not to damage the seals.
Once all of the valve sections are reinstalled, remove the vacuum from the hydraulic tank.
Refill the hydraulic oil tank to the recommended level if necessary.
Run the machine to bring the hydraulic oil temperature up to normal operating temperature.

Illustration 3 shows the top solenoid housing assemblies (5) in the D9T. The frame (6) at the top of the Illustration is the square bottom tube of the right-hand console in the operators platform. Remove the right-hand access panel in the platform. The panel is located inboard of the hydraulic tank. You now can gain access to the top of the implement valve.
The spools are vertical and will drop out of the bottom of the valve section once the bottom solenoid housing assemblies are removed. The problem can be handled by two methods:
Removing both solenoid housing assemblies at the same time. A clamp or vise grip pliers on the top of
