(1) Belt tensioner Remove the guard and remove the belt Refer to this Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Alternator and Fan Belt-Replace" for the procedures.Inspect the belt. Refer to this Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Belt - Inspect" for the procedure.Ensure that the belt tensioner is securely installed. Visually inspect the belt tensioner (1) for damage. Check that the pulley on the tensioner rotates freely and that the bearing is not loose. If necessary, replace damaged components.Replace the tensioner if necessary. Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly Manual, "Belt Tensioner - Remove and Install" for the procedure.Install the belt. Refer to this Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Belt - Inspect" for the procedure. Install the guard.
