(1) Receiver-dryer (2) Dual pressure switchConfirm the continuity between the two terminals of the dual pressure switch while you check the pressure of the air conditioning system. The following conditions should be true:
When the pressure reading is 180 kPa (26 psi) or less, no continuity between the two terminals should exist. Also, when the pressure reading is 2650 kPa (384 psi) or more, continuity should not exist between the two terminals.
When the pressure reading is between 180 to 2650 kPa (26 to 385 psi), continuity should exist between the two terminals.If the standard values are different, there is a problem with the dual pressure switch. Replace the switch.Remove the manifold gauge set. Refer to the Testing and Adjusting, "Manifold Gauge Set (Refrigerant) - Remove" section for the proper procedure.
