439-3939 Link Bracket 1 Note: Clean the mating surfaces of the axle housing and of the service brake prior to installation. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Lubricate O-ring seal (9) lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed. Install O-ring seal (9).
Install brake piston (8) to the axle housing. The weight of brake piston (8) is approximately 16 kg (35 lb).

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.
Install the washers and bolts (7) to brake piston (8).

Install Tooling (B) to wheel assembly (3), as shown. Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (B) and wheel assembly (3). The combined weight of the wheel assembly and the service brake is approximately 390 kg (860 lb).Note: The combined weight of the wheel assembly and the service brake may vary according to the models.
Install wheel assembly (3) and service brake (6).
Install the washers and bolts (5). Tighten bolts (5) to a torque of 1000 125 N m (740 92 lb ft).

Install Tooling (A) (not shown) to final drive (1). Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (A). The weight of the planetary carrier is approximately 130 kg (287 lb).
Lubricate O-ring seal (4) lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed. Install O-ring seal (4) on final drive (1).
Install final drive (1) on wheel assembly (3).

Install bolts (2) on final drive (1). Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of 105 20 N m (75 15 lb ft).

Remove Tooling (A).End By:
Install axle shafts.
Install tire and rim.
