Wiring Diagram for Automatic Lubrication System (1) Receptacle (2) Plug (3) Autolube pressure sensorTools Needed
6V-7070 Digital Multimeter After the engine speed has remained above 1400 rpm for five minutes, the VIMS energizes the autolube solenoid valve for the programmed lubrication cycle. Then, the solenoid is turned off. At every lubrication interval, the VIMS will signal the machine control module to energize the solenoid for the programmed lubrication cycle. This continues until the key switch is turned to the OFF position.Note: For the information on the lubrication cycle and the lubrication interval, refer to Systems Operation/Testing and Adjusting, "Automatic Lubrication System - Test and Adjust".As the solenoid is turned on, the solenoid makes a click. The click can be heard or the click can be felt. If the click occurs, the electrical system is operating properly. If the electrical system is not operating properly, perform the following checks in the order that is given.Autolube Solenoid Valve

Autolube Solenoid Valve (2) PlugIn order to check the autolube solenoid valve, perform the following steps.
Disconnect plug (2) from receptacle (1). Set the dial of the multimeter to 200 Ohms.
Measure the resistance between pin 1 and socket 2 of plug (2) .
The measured resistance should be approximately 40 Ohms. If the resistance is not 40 Ohms, the autolube solenoid valve is faulty. If the autolube solenoid valve is faulty, replace the autolube solenoid valve.
Reconnect the components.Autolube Pressure Sensor
In order to check the autolube pressure sensor, refer to Systems Operation/Testing and Adjusting, "Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) Sensor - Test" for the Vital Information Management System (VIMS).VIMS
For testing and adjusting procedures, refer to the Systems Operation/Testing and Adjusting for the Vital Information Management System (VIMS).
