Note: The engine speed must be checked before the following test is performed. Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, SENR5005, "Engine Speed - Check".Use the following engine speeds:
2540 25 rpm for C2.2 engines
2590 25 rpm for 3024C engines
2800 25 rpm for the three cylinder engine
Drive the machine to a smooth, horizontal surface.

Move propel lever (1) to the NEUTRAL position.

Move parking brake switch (2) to the ON position.
Move throttle control lever (4) to the LOW IDLE position.
Move engine start switch (3) to the OFF position.

Unhook latch (5) and open the engine compartment.

If necessary, install a piece of Tool (G) on fan blade (6).
Move engine start switch (3) to the START position. Release the switch when the engine starts.
Operate the engine at low idle for a few minutes. Move throttle control lever (4) to the number two HIGH IDLE position.
Monitor the hydraulic oil temperature with Tool (H). Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches 43° 5.6°C (110° 10°F).
Use Tool (E) to measure the fan speed. The fan speed should be 2280 330 rpm for four cylinder engines and 1925 255 rpm for three cylinder engines.
Move throttle lever (4) to the LOW IDLE position.
Move engine start switch (3) to the OFF position.
If the fan speed is inside the specified range, stop here. If this is the first time through the procedure and the fan speed is outside the specified range, go to step 15. If the pressure of the fan has been adjusted and the fan speed still remains outside the specified range, check the pump flow. Refer to System Operations, Testing and Adjusting, KENR7107, "Gear
