Assemble the tool. Refer to Illustration 9 and Table 5. Install pipe plug (9), which is not shown, into one of the tools.

Remove the primary air filters and the secondary air filters.
Inspect the following components for damage and for dust conditions: filter seals, filter material and filter base.

Install Tool (A) in the air intake system.

Connect Tool (B) to one Tool (A) .
Connect the hose and the regulator group to Tool (B) .
While the regulator is at the minimum pressure and the gate valve is shut off at the regulator group, connect the regulator group to the air supply.
Open the air supply valve.Note: The pressure of the air supply should be between 690 kPa (100 psi) and 830 kPa (120 psi).
Apply air pressure until the pressure that is monitored by Tool (B) is maintained 28 + 0 - 7 kPa (4 + 0 - 1 psi).Note: If the pressure drops below 21 kPa (3 psi) within three minutes, check the system for large external leaks. Repair any large leaks before you continue the procedure.
Spray soapy water on all joints and on all fittings of the air induction system.
Check for bubbles which indicate air leaks.
Repair any leaks that are found.
Remove all test equipment. Ensure that all sprayed components are dry.
Install primary air filters and secondary air filters.
