(20) Power Resistor 1 (21) Jumper wire
If the measured voltage is not 240 5 VDC, the jumper wire (21) at the power resistor 1 (20) must be adjusted.Note: When adjusting the jumper wire for the power resistors, keep in mind that the resistors may be HOT. Use care and the proper equipment when working around the power resistors.
Stop the Generator and the engine. Remove the cover for the power resistors and adjust the jumper wire (21) . The voltage increases when the lead is moved downward. The voltage decreases when the lead is moved upward.
Start the engine and operate the Generator. Repeat steps 2 and 3. If the voltage is not 240 5 VDC, stop the Generator and the engine. Repeat the procedure to adjust the voltage until the correct voltage is obtained.STOPTest Step 3. MEASURE THE GENERATOR OUTPUT VOLTAGE AT THE BOOST RELAY

Set the digital voltmeter to the auto range scale or the "400 VDC" scale. Connect the positive test lead to Pin 12 (116-RD) at the circuit board. Connect the negative test lead to SSR 170 Pin 2 (115-RD). Refer to Figure 10.
The operator needs to depress the "Lift" switch to activate the lift cycle.Expected Result:The voltmeter should read 0 VDC during the boost cycle (3 seconds). Then the voltmeter should read approximately one half of the battery voltage (10VDC to 14 VDC) in the lift mode during "carry".Results:
YES - The voltmeter reads 0 VDC for 3 seconds during the boost cycle. Then the voltmeter reads approximately one half of the battery voltage (10 VDC to 14 VDC) in the lift mode during "carry". Proceed to Test Step 4.
NO - The voltmeter reads 0 VDC during the boost and the "carry". The contacts of the boost relay have failed.Repair: Replace the boost relay.STOPTest Step 4. MEASURE THE GENERATOR OUTPUT VOLTAGE AT THE SAMPLE VOLTAGE RELAY
