The following calibrations are for the pavers that are equipped with the paddle type height sensors. The optional sonic sensors do not need to be calibrated. If your paver is equipped with the sonic sensors for measuring material height, submodes c05, c06, c07 and c08 are not available.This calibration procedure is for the left and right material height sensors. The following submodes and calibrations are used for this procedure:
Submode c05 - Left material height sensor full OFF.
Submode c06 - Left material height sensor full ON.
Submode c07 - Right material height sensor full OFF.
Submode c08 - Right material height sensor full ON.Note: Always perform both the full OFF calibration and the full ON calibration for each sensor.
Turn the key start switch to the ON position. Do not start the engine.
Enter calibration mode 2 on the ECM display. To do so, press and hold the ECM Mode switch until "- 2 -" is showing in the display area. Submode c01 should be displayed which will confirm that the calibration mode has been entered.
Enter submode c05 for the left material height sensor full OFF calibration. Submode c05 is displayed on the ECM display. If submode c05 is not displayed, press and hold the display mode switch in the INCREMENT position until "c05" is showing.
Ensure that the left material height paddle is in the desired position for the augers and the conveyors to turn OFF. This is approximately 70 degrees from straight down. This paddle is located on the left side of the machine beside the auger.
Store the value of the signal currently being sent from the left material height sensor. In order to store the value, press and hold the display mode switch in the CLEAR/STORE position. While the switch is
