A     5P-9736     Link Bracket     2    Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the machine. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide", for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids in Caterpillar machines.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Remove the floorplate from the machine.
Drain the oil from the power train oil filter.

Disconnect hose assemblies (1) from the oil filter housing.

Disconnect harness assembly (2) .
Fasten Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to oil filter housing (3). Remove bolts (4). Remove oil filter housing (3) from the machine. The weight of oil filter housing (3) is approximately 27 kg (60 lb).

Remove O-ring seals (5) from the oil filter.
