(9) Gear - pump (oil) The transmission oil pump is attached to the implement pump. The transmission oil pump is a two-section gear pump. The oil pump has one inlet (3) and two outlet ports (1) and (2). Main components of the oil pump are cover (7), body (6), gear assemblies (4), and adapter (5).During operation, oil is pulled from the reservoir of the transmission output transfer gear case. As the gears rotate, oil is pulled into the lower part of pump body at inlet (3). The oil fills the spaces between the teeth of gears . As the gears rotate, oil is transferred from the inlet section of the pump to the outlet sections (1) and (2). Oil flows to the transmission oil filter and controls from outlet (2).Oil flows to the torque converter and lube circuit from outlet (1).
