Operating Voltage Set
Note: Generator speed should always be set before adjusting the "Operating Voltage". In order to provide a sufficient operating voltage, measure the voltage only with a magnet that is connected and activated. The main disconnect switch and the main breaker of the controller for the generator must be in ON position.

Start the engine.
Turn the generator switch on and activate magnet using the monitor.
Check the "Operating Voltage" across terminal "11" (16) and terminal "12" (17) of the terminal block (14). The "Operating Voltage" should be 230 5 VDC.
If "Operating Voltage" is 230 5 VDC, skip Steps 5 through 7.
Turn off the generator and the engine.
Set the output voltage to 230 5 VDC by adjusting "Resister (R1)" (10).
Move "(R1) Variable Resistor Adjustment" (11) to the LEFT in order to decrease the resistance of "Resister R1" (10), which will INCREASE the operating voltage of the generator.
Move "(R1) Variable Resistor Adjustment" (11) to the RIGHT in order to increase the resistance of "Resister R1" (10) which will DECREASE the operating voltage of the generator.Note: This adjustment does not affect "Boost Voltage" or "Drop Voltage".
Repeat Steps 1 through 6 until "Output Voltage" is 230 5 VDC. Boost Voltage
The "Boost Voltage" should be 260 10 VDC, and you can measure this voltage during the "Boost Voltage" time period across terminal "11" (16) and terminal "12" (17) of terminal block (11). If the "Operating Voltage" is set correctly, then the "Boost Voltage" should also be correct. A "Boost Voltage" adjustment is not possible.Boost Time Set
"Boost Timer (K7)" (12) controls the amount of time for the "Boost Voltage" after the magnet has been activated. The "Boost" time should be set to 2 seconds.

If the magnet is hotter than 90 °C (194 °F) by the end of an 8 hour shift, decrease the setting of "Boost Timer (K7)" timer dial (18).
Adjust the "Boost Timer (K7)" timer dial (18) UP to a maximum of 3 seconds only if the magnet responds poorly.
Multiplier switch (19) should be set to "x 1". This setting may be blocked with epoxy at the supplier.
Seconds/Minutes select switch (20) should be set to "S". This setting may be blocked with epoxy at the supplier.Note: NEVER adjust "BOOST" time above 3 seconds. Performance will not be enhanced. Overheating of the magnet can result.Drop Voltage
The "Drop Voltage" should be −170 10 VDC and reverse polarity to the "Operating Voltage". The "Drop Voltage" can be measured during the "Drop Time" period across terminal "11" (16) and terminal "12" (17) of terminal block (14). If the "Operating Voltage" is set correctly, the "Drop Voltage" should also be correct. The "Drop Voltage" adjustment is not possible."Drop Time" Adjustment
