Drive the machine to a smooth, horizontal surface.

Move propulsion lever (3) to the NEUTRAL position.
Rotate speed dial (2) to the MINIMUM position.
Move parking brake switch (1) to the ON position.

Move screed lift switch (4) to the FLOAT position. Allow the screed to lower to the ground.Note: The screed lift switch on the inactive operator station must also be in the FLOAT position in order to lower the screed.

Move throttle control switch (5) to the LOW IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second.
Move engine start switch (6) to the OFF position.
Assemble two sets of Tool (A) and two sets of Tool (B) . Connect one Tool (A) to each Tool (B) .

Disconnect hydraulic line (7) and hydraulic line (8) from the auger motor. Cap port (9) with Tool (C) . Cap port (10) with Tool (C) . Plug fitting on hydraulic line (7) with Tool (D) . Plug fitting on hydraulic line (8) with Tool (D) .

Open pump compartment (11) , which is on the right side of the machine.

Connect Tool (B) to the forward pressure tap in port "MB" (12) .

Connect Tool (B) to the reverse pressure tap in port "C" (13) .Note: The switch for the screed lift must be reset to the HOLD position before the machine will start.
Move engine start switch (6) to the START position. Release the engine start switch when the engine starts.
Operate the engine at low idle for a few minutes.
Move throttle control switch (5) to the HIGH IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second. The engine speed should increase to 2200 rpm.

Monitor the hydraulic oil temperature on the operator display. Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches 43° 5.6°C (110° 10°F).

Move right auger switch (14) to the MANUAL position. Hold the switch in this position.Note: Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Relief Valve (Charge, Auger Conveyor and Drag Conveyor) - Test and Adjust" to check the charge pressure for Step 18 and Step 21.
Record the pressure at the forward pressure tap in port "MB" (12) . The pressure should be 37232 2068 kPa (5400 300 psi) after subtracting the charge pressure reading.
Move right auger switch (14) to the AUTOMATIC position.
Move auger reverse switch (15) to the LEFT position.
Record the pressure at the reverse pressure tap in port "C" (13) . The pressure should be 37232 2068 kPa (5400 300 psi) after subtracting the charge pressure reading.
Release auger reverse switch (15) .
Move left auger switch (14) to the OFF position.
Move throttle control switch (6) to the LOW IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second.
After the engine reaches low idle, move engine start switch (7) to the OFF position.
If the forward pressure and the reverse pressure are both within the specified range, the system is operating within design parameters. Go to Step 29. If either the forward pressure
