TILT CONTROL VALVE IN TILT LEFT POSITION 1. Passage to tank.2. Passage from pump.3. Passage to next control valve.4. Passage from pump.5. Valve spool.6. Passage from pump.7. Passage to rod end of tilt cylinder.8. Load check valve.9. Passage to head end of tilt cylinder.A. HOLD position.
HYDRAULIC SYSTEM SCHEMATIC (Bulldozer Tilt Left) 7. Passage (in valve).9. Passage (in valve).10. Line (for head end of bulldozer tip cylinder).11. Bulldozer tip cylinder.12. Bulldozer.13. Line for junction block.14. Check valve (in the line).15. Junction block.16. Line (for head end of tilt and tip cylinder).17. Line (for rod end of tilt and tip cylinder).18. Lift cylinder.19. Relief valve.20. Hydraulic pump.21. Filter and tank.22. Tilt and tip cylinder. When valve spool (5) is in the TILT LEFT position, the pump oil in passages (2) and (4) can not go to passage (3) and the pump oil in the control valve gets an increase of pressure. The pressure of the oil in passage (6) opens load check valve (8). The oil goes through the open load check valve through passage (9). The pressure oil from passage (9) goes through a line to junction block (15) and through line (16) into the head end of tilt and tip cylinder (22).The oil in the head end of the tilt and tip cylinder pushes the piston and rod, connected near the right side and at the top of bulldozer (12) and moves the right side of the bulldozer up for TILT LEFT. The piston also pushes the oil from the rod end of cylinder (22) through line (17) and through a passage in check valve (14) into passage (7) in the tilt control valve. The oil is pushed through passage (7) around valve spool (5) and through passage (1) and then into filter and tank (21).The bulldozer is in the TILT LEFT position until the tilt control lever (and valve spool) is moved to the TILT RIGHT position.
TILT CONTROL VALVE IN TILT RIGHT POSITION 1. Passage to tank.2. Passage from pump.3. Passage to next control valve.4. Passage from pump.5. Valve spool.6. Passage from pump.7. Passage to rod end of tilt cylinder.8. Load check valve.9. Passage to head end of tilt cylinder.A. HOLD position.Tilt Right Position
When the control lever moves valve spool (5) to the TILT RIGHT position, the pump oil in passages (2) and (4) can not go to passage (3) and to the tank. When passages (2) and (4) are closed to passage (3) the pump oil gets an increase in pressure. The increase of the oil pressure in passage (6) opens load check valve (8). The oil goes through the load check valve to passage (7) and into the rod end of tilt and tip cylinder (22). The pressure oil in the rod end of the cylinder moves the piston and rod [connected to the top right side of bulldozer (12)] farther into the cylinder. The movement of the cylinder rod pulls the right side of bulldozer (12) down to the TILT RIGHT position. As the piston moves
