There is no clearance for a man in this area when the vehicle is turned. Be sure all personnel are clear of the pivot area before any operation of the machine is performed. Operation of the machine with personnel in the pivot area can cause serious personal injury. Install the anti-pivot link between the front and rear frames before performing any service work near the center of the machine.
When the machine is to be lifted or transported, install the anti-pivot link between the front and rear frames to prevent any pivot movement. Before any operation of the machine, be sure the anti-pivot link is disconnected and in its storage position.
1. Remove the cotter pins that hold pins (1) and (2) in place.2. Remove pins (1) and (2).3. Use a lifting device to put anti-pivot link (3) into its storage position. The weight of link (3) is 61 kg (134 lb). 4. Install pins (1) and (2) back into their original positions. To install the anti-pivot link, reverse the removal steps.
