Removal Procedure
Remove the alternator belt. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Alternator Belt - Remove and Install".
Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.

Remove nut (2), washer (3), and ground cable assembly (4) from alternator (1).
Remove nut (7), washer (6), and wire assembly (5) from alternator (1).
Remove nut (8), washer (9), and cable assembly (10) from alternator (1).
Remove four bolts (11), four washers (12), and alternator (1).Installation Procedure
Install alternator (4) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten the nut (2) to grounding cable (4) with washer (3) to a torque of 7.75 2.5 N m (69 22 lb in).
Tighten the nut (7) with washer (6), and wire assembly (5) to a torque of 6.75 1.75 N m (60 15 lb in).
Tighten the nut (8) with washer (9), and cable assembly (10) to a torque of 2.3 0.5 N m (20 4 lb in).
