START BY:a) remove wheels 1. Remove bearing cone (1), Duo-Cone seal (2) and retainer (3) from the axle housing. Remove the O-ring seal from the retainer. 2. Remove Duo-Cone Seal (4) from the wheel. 3. Fasten a strap and a hoist to tooling (A). Use tooling (A) to remove ring (7) and bearing cup (5). Use tooling (A) to remove bearing cup (6) from the other side of the wheel.Install Wheel Bearings And Seals
1. Lower the temperature of bearing cups (1) and ring (2). Install ring (2) against its seat in the bore of the wheel.2. Install bearing cups (1) in the bore of the wheel. Make sure the bearing cups are against their seat in the wheel.3. Make sure the rubber toric rings and all surfaces that make contact with them are clean and dry. Put a small amount of clean oil on the surfaces of the Duo-Cone seals that make contact with each other. See Installation Of Duo-Cone Floating Seals.4. Use tool (A) to install the Duo-Cone seal in the wheel. 5. Install the O-ring seal on retainer (3). Put clean oil on the O-ring seal. Install retainer (3) on the axle housing. Make sure the flat side of the retainer is toward the inside of the machine.6. Install bearing cone (4).7. Make sure the rubber toric rings and all surfaces that make contact with them are clean and dry. Put a small amount of clean oil on the surfaces of the Duo-Cone seals that make contact with each other. See Installation of Duo-Cone Floating Seals.8. Use tool (A) to install the Duo-Cone seal in retainer (3).END BY:a) install wheels
