The cylinder head to block joint using the 110-6991 Head Gasket may leak combustion gas on certain TH55 Kress Coal Haulers. Combustion gas may pressurize the cooling system.

ACTION REQUIRED
Remove affected cylinder heads and reseal with current production parts.
Apply this program for single cylinder head joint replacement, up to a total of 3 cylinder head joints on the same engine.
If there are more than 3 cylinder head joints that require repair, apply REBE7239 for coverage of an entire engine cylinder head joint re-seal, out of chassis.
For detailed information regarding the removal and installation of components reference SENR1126, Disassembly and Assembly.
Multiply the Parts Needed quantity by the number of cylinders being resealed. One gasket kit per cylinder.
The Parts Needed list contains the 355-0775 and 355-0776 Gasket Kits.
- The 355-0775 Gasket Kit contains the 117-9315 Seal, to be used with a 119-5654 Rocker Base.
- The 355-0776 Gasket Kit contains the 240-7032 Seal, to be used with a 247-8340 Rocker Base.
Only order the appropriate kit part number according to the rocker base in use on the engine. The rocker base part number is located under the valve cover. Example location for 119-5654 Rocker Base shown in Image1.
