This Program can be administered either before or after a failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS8627" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "T" as the SIMS Description Code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
This Revised Service Letter replaces the July 19, 1996 Service Letter. Changes have been made to the Termination Date and Service Claim Allowances.

The hardness of the pins located at either end of the lift link assembly and at the rod end of the lift cylinder may not be to specification which may accelerate the wear of the pins and pinned joints. In addition, the locking handle allows the lower threaded end of the lift link to rotate which may damage the threads. Finally, the rod end of the lift link may wear prematurely.

Replace the pins, rod end, and locking handle described above with pins, rod end, and locking handle identified in Illustration 1.
If threaded rod part number 1290817 in the clevis end of the lift link has been damaged by the old locking handle, replace the rod.
