It may be necessary to move seat (2) to gain clearance to remove cover (1).2. Remove the screws and cover (1).
To prevent possible personal injury, make sure the pressure in the air system is zero before any air lines are disconnected.
3. Put identification marks on the two air lines on the bottom of parking brake control valve (3) for correct assembly during the installation.4. Disconnect the two air lines from brake control valve (3).5. Remove two screws (4) and brake control valve (3). The following steps are for installation of the parking brake control valve.6. Put parking brake control valve (3) in position, and install two screws (4).7. Connect the two hoses to parking brake control valve (3).8. Start By:a. remove parking brake control valve 1. Remove plug (1), spring (2) and valve (3) from body (4).2. Remove rivet (8), lever (9), plunger (7), spring (6) and seat (5) from body (4).3. Remove the O-ring seals from plunger (7) and plug (1). The following steps are for assembly of the parking brake control valve.4. Make sure all parts are clean and free of foreign materials. Inspect the O-ring seals, and make replacements if needed.5. Install seat (5) and spring (6). Install the O-ring seal on plunger (7) and install the plunger in body (4).6. Install lever (9) and rivet (8) that holds the lever in place.7. Install valve (3) and spring (2) in body (4).8.
