Do not disconnect the air lines until the air pressure in the system is at zero. Disconnecting lines under pressure can cause personal injury.
1. Remove air pressure from the air tank.2. Drain the coolant from the cooling system. 3. Remove water lines (1) and (3) and air inlet line (2) from the engine. Disconnect air line (4) from the air compressor.4. Disconnect air line (6) from the air compressor governor.5. Disconnect oil line (5) from the air compressor. 6. Remove bolts (8) to remove air compressor (7) and gasket from the timing gear cover. 1. Put the gasket (1) and air compressor (2) in position on the timing gear cover and install the bolts to hold them. 2. Install water lines (3) and (5) and inlet line (4) to the air compressor. Connect air line (6) to the air compressor.3. Connect air line (7) to the air compressor governor and oil line (8) to the air compressor.4. Fill the cooling system with coolant to the correct level.
