Remove the jaw from the work tool. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Changing the Jaw Sets" for more information.
Remove the cutting edges from the jaw. Refer to Service Manual, "Cutting Edge - Remove and Install".

Remove two bolts (3) and the washers that secure nut (4) .
Use Tooling (C) to remove nut (4) .
Attach a suitable lifting device to upper jaw (1). Refer to Table 2 for the weight of the upper jaw.

Remove pin (5) .
Lift upper jaw (1) from lower jaw (2). Remove shims (6) from the jaws.

Use Tooling (A) and Tooling (B) to remove two bushings (7) and spacer (8) from upper jaw (1) .
