Display of Codes During Operation
The display for preset temperature (5) displays codes when system components are operating abnormally.
Illustration 1 g00459396
When a failure occurs, display (5) shows the letter "E" in the position after the decimal point. For example, if an error occurs and the system is set at 20°C (68°F), display (5) will show "2/0./E".The system is always monitoring each sensor. The system also monitors the drive system. Failures are identified by the fault diagnosis. See "Starting the Fault Diagnosis" for further information.Starting the Fault Diagnosis

(1) On/Off switch (2) Air inlet selection switch (recirculated air) (3) Air inlet selection switch (fresh air) (4) Temperature selection switch (increase) (5) Display for preset temperature (6) Temperature selection switch (decrease)Note: Understand the starting procedure before you begin.
Turn the engine start switch ON.
Turn On/Off switch (1) of the air conditioner OFF.
Depress the following two switches on the control panel at the same time: temperature selection switch (increase) (4) and temperature selection switch (decrease) (6). Hold both switches down for at least three seconds.
The diagnosis procedure shall start. If any error is memorized, the smallest error code is displayed on display (5). If no problems exist, "E/-./-" is displayed.
When the temperature selection switch (increase) (4) is depressed, error codes are displayed. The error codes are displayed in ascending order from "E11" to "E51". When the temperature selection switch (decrease) (6) is depressed, error codes are displayed. The error codes are displayed in descending order from "E51" to "E11". Note: When only one error code exists, the same display is repeated.
When the fault diagnosis is running, the control of each function is altered.
All outputs from the control panel except error codes are turned OFF.
The panel light turns ON.
Clear the error codes. Depress the following two switches on the control panel at the same time: air inlet selection switch (recirculated air) (2) and air inlet selection switch (fresh air) (3). Hold both switches down for at least three seconds.Note: Clear any error codes when the equivalent problems have been repaired. Make sure that the same error code is not displayed again. When a problem has not yet been repaired, the equivalent error code should be displayed again.Ending the Fault Diagnosis
There are two ways to end the fault diagnosis.
Turn the engine start switch OFF.
Press On/Off switch (1) .Error Codes
