Prevent the machine from movement. Park the machine on a level surface.Attach a "Do Not Operate" warning tag or a similar warning tag to the start switch or to the controls before you service equipment. These warning tags (Special Instruction, SEHS7332) are available from your Caterpillar dealer.Required Parts

Remove the top front console to route the harness assembly (5) .

Route the harness assembly (5) down through the console and under the cab floor pan.Note: The cab floor pan may be removed for ease of access.

Install one arc suppressor (2) to each connector (A-C2) and (A-C3).
Disconnect existing harness from the transmission lock switch. Remove wires from connectors wire position 2 and 7 and remove terminal ends.
Connect wire from position 2 of the existing connector and the yellow wire (308-A7) of harness assembly (5) with terminal (6) .
Connect existing harness into transmission lock switch.
Remove black cover from the console and install rocker switch (4). Connect harness assembly (5) to rocker switch (4) .
Connect horn (3) to harness assembly (5) (wires 202-BL and 780-PU) and secure with cable straps (1) .
Secure harness assembly (5) with straps (1) .
