Information:

Machining dimensions for the former shaft if the new thicker washers are used.The new washers are 2.4 mm (0.9") thick. These new washers should not be used on the former shaft because the pilot depth for the bolt heads is not deep enough to keep the bolt heads from turning when they are tightened. (The former shaft is identified by its part number stamped on the end of the shaft.) However, the new washers can be used on the former shaft if the shaft is machined as shown.
The material can be removed by grinding and should all be removed on the side nearest the splined end as shown. The finish operation should be a smooth grind.
If the former shaft is machined for the thicker washers, be sure to grind off the former part number and stamp the new number (9W8774) on the end of the shaft.
