At operating temperature, the engine cooling system is hot and under pressure. Steam can cause personal injury. Check the coolant level only after the engine has been stopped and the fill cap on the radiator is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. Remove the fill cap slowly to relieve pressure. Cooling system conditioner contains alkali. Avoid contact with skin and eyes to prevent personal injury.
1. Drain the level of the coolant below the water outlet manifold. Drain the coolant into a suitable container for storage or disposal. 2. Remove two bolts (1) and disconnect water pump tube (2). 3. Remove eight bolts (3). Remove water outlet manifold (4) and the four gaskets. The following steps are for the installation of the water outlet manifold.4. Check the condition of the four gaskets used for installation of the water outlet manifold. If the gaskets are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.5. Put the four gaskets and water outlet manifold (4) in position on the engine. Install eight bolts (3) that hold it.6. Install two bolts (1) and connect water pump tube (2).7. Fill the cooling system with coolant to the correct level.
