Escaping air or fluid under pressure, even a pin-hole size leak, can penetrate body tissue causing serious injury, and possible death.If fluid is injected into your skin, it must be treated immediately by a doctor familiar with this type of injury.
Hot oil and hot components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or hot components to contact skin.

Prevent the machine from movement. Park the machine on a level surface.Attach a "Do Not Operate" warning tag or a similar warning tag to the start switch or to the controls before you service or repair the equipment. These warning tags (Special Instruction, SEHS7332) are available from your Caterpillar dealer.Required Parts

Installation Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Note: Put identification marks on all hoses, on all hose assemblies, on all harness assemblies, and on all tube assemblies for installation purposes. Plug all hose assemblies and all tube assemblies. This helps to prevent fluid loss, and helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.

Connect hose assembly (2) to fitting (B) of the medium pressure valve. Connect hose assembly (3) to fitting (A) of the medium pressure valve.
Secure hose assemblies (2) and (3) to hose assembly (C) using strap (1) .

Route hose assemblies (2) and (3) as shown along hose assembly (C). Secure hose assemblies (2) and (3) to hose assembly (C) using strap (1) .
Connect hose assemblies (2) and (3) to the corresponding medium pressure boom lines.
Tighten all hardware and fittings to proper torque unless otherwise specified. Refer to Specifications, SENR3130, "Torque Specifications".

Personal injury or death can result from escaping fluid under pressure.Escaping fluid under pressure, even a very small pin-hole size leak, can penetrate body tissue, causing serious injury, and possible death.Always use a board or cardboard when checking for a leak.Do not check for pin hole leaks in pump or motor hoses during a steer stall condition. If fluid is injected into your skin, it must be treated by a doctor familiar with this type of injury immediately.
Inspect for fluid leaks when the installation of the hydraulic kit is complete.
