Steering frame lock in the LOCKED position
Move steering frame lock into the LOCKED position.
Engage the parking brake. Move the transmission direction control switch to the NEUTRAL position.

Attach one end of a 1U-5755 Hose Assembly to pressure tap (1). Pressure tap (1) is located on the output line of steering pump. The steering pump is located behind the operator's cab. Attach the opposite end of the hose assembly to the high pressure port (6) of pressure differential gauge group (4).
Install a 0 to 40000 kPa (0 to 5800 psi) pressure gauge (3) onto the high pressure port of pressure differential gauge group. This pressure gauge will allow you to monitor the maximum steering oil pressure during this test.
Attach one end of a 1U-5755 Hose Assembly to pressure tap (2) for the signal pressure. Attach the opposite end of the hose assembly to the low pressure port (5) of the pressure differential gauge group. Note: Position the pressure differential gauge group and the hydraulic hose assemblies in order to prevent damage from any machine movement. Position the test equipment in order to allow either a second technician or the operator that is in the cab to observe the test equipment while the steering wheel (if equipped) is being turned.
