Procedure for Replacing the Fuel Filter Base

(1) Bracket (2) Filter base
Remove the filter bases and the bracket. Save the hardware in order to be reused. Use the hardware from the former bracket to install the new bracket. Refer to Illustration 1.

(3) 3S-2093 Cable Strap (4) Reused bolts (5) 0S-1571 Bolt (6) 9X-6458 Hard Washer (7) 4P-7581 Clip
Use the hardware from the former filter base with additional 0S-1571 Bolts and 9X-6458 Hard Washers to install the new filter base. Refer to Illustration 2.

Install fittings and adapters on new filter base. Refer to Illustration 3.

(18) 6V-3964 Hard Washer
Install the primary filter base with the same hardware and add 6V-3964 Hard Washer on the bolts. Refer to Illustration 4.

(19) Fuel line (20) 8T-1888 Clip (21) 8T-1887 Clip (22) 100-3237 Grommet
Reattach the fuel lines. Remove the clips and save the hardware. Reuse 0S-1591 Bolts and 5M-2894 Hard Washers from the former clips in order to install new clips. Refer to Illustration 5.
Start the machine and check the filter base assembly for leaks.Refer to Table 3 for a list of effective serial numbers.
