Removal Procedure
Start By:
Connect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".

Open platform doors (1) behind the cab in order to access the input drive shaft.

Attach a hoist and two suitable lifting slings to input drive shaft (2).
Remove four bolts (3) that secure input drive shaft (2) to the torque converter yoke .
Remove four bolts (4) that secure input drive shaft (2) to the transfer gearbox drive yoke.
Slide the transfer gearbox drive yoke toward the transmission in order to gain enough clearance for removal of input drive shaft (2).
Use the hoist to carefully remove input drive shaft (2) from the machine. The weight of the input drive shaft is 54 kg (120 lb). Installation Procedure

Attach a hoist and two suitable lifting slings to input drive shaft (2). Carefully install input drive shaft (2) on the machine. The weight of the input drive shaft is 54 kg (120 lb).
Slide the transfer gearbox drive yoke toward the torque converter.
Install four bolts (4) that secure input drive shaft (2) to the transfer gearbox drive yoke.
Install four bolts (3) that secure input drive shaft (2) to the torque converter yoke.
Tighten bolts (3) and (4) to a torque of 300 41 N m (220 30 lb ft).
Remove the lifting slings from input drive shaft (2).

Close platform doors (1).
Lubricate the input shaft. For the correct procedure, refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual for your machine. End By:
