966K and 972K Standard Battery Monitor Drain Wire Rework - Refer to Image4.3.1
1. Disassemble drain wire ring terminal (A) from negative battery post.
2. Extract drain wire terminal (B) from positive connector.
3. The wire will not be reused.

1. Insert the pin connection of the new 390-3294 Wire Assembly into cavity 2 of the two position connector (D).
2. Route 390-3294 Wire Assembly as shown along the 365-8810 Receptacle Assembly and then through the existing grommet (E) and re-insert the grommet into the hole.
3. Assemble the ring terminals of 390-3294 Wire Assembly to the Battery Disconnect Switch's ground as shown (F).
4. Use 3S-2093 Cable Straps to secure the new drain wire (G).

1. Insert socket of 390-3295 Wire Assembly into cavity 2 of the two position connector (D).
2. Route 390-3295 Wire Assembly as shown along the 365-8810 Receptacle Assembly and then through the existing grommet (E) and re-insert the grommet into the hole.
3. Assemble the ring terminal (F) of 390-3295 Wire Assembly to the Battery Disconnect Switch's ground as shown.
4. Use 3S-2093 Cable Straps to secure the new drain wire (G).

980K Standard and Cold Start Battery Monitor Drain Wire Rework - Refer to Image6.1.1
1. Disconnect the drain wire two position connector from the resistor strapped to the positive battery cable. Extract the drain wire pin connection from the two position connector out of cavity 2 (A).
2. Unbolt the P-clip (B). Retain P-clip, washer, and nut for later use.
3. Slide negative post boot up cable to expose drain wire terminal. Disassemble drain wire ring terminal from the negative battery post (C).
4. The wire will not be reused.

1. Reassemble negative battery post connection (E) and move boot back in place to cover terminal.
2. Install 9C-9458 Bracket Assembly and 132-5789 Ladder Clip using 8T-4137 Bolt and 8T-4121 Washer (F). Attached the assembly to battery cable P-clip stud, reinstall
P-clip using nut and washer.
3. Insert the pin connection of the new 390-3295 Wire Assembly into cavity 2 of the two position connector (G).

1. Route 390-3295 Wire Assembly as shown along the perimeter of the hood pump compartment (H). Use 3S-2093 Cable Straps to secure the new drain wire as shown.
2. Assemble the ring terminal of 390-3295 Wire Assembly to the ground stud mounted on the rear plate of the frame assembly (I). The hood pump motor ground wire is also connected to this location.
