ACTION REQUIRED
If harsh shifting is experienced, verify that the clutch pressures are within specifications. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, UENR3110 for, "950M and 962M Wheel Loaders"
If the clutch pressures are within specification next check the transmission suction screen for any rubber seal material. If rubber seal material is found the transmission may have experienced a spring failure.
Before failure Repair:
On a before failure repair. Separate the torque converter and housing from the transmission and set it aside. Follow UENR3112 ?Transmission ?Disassemble and Transmission ? Assembly. The solenoid valve assembly will not need to be removed, even though it is included in Disassembly and Assembly manual. The torque converter will not need to be removed from the housing on a before failure repair.
While the transmission is disassembled, inspect the clutch cylinders for clutches 1-5 for any signs of missing teeth just above were the 236-2541 retaining ring is installed. See illustration below. If missing teeth are found replace the shaft group.
After Failure repair:
Follow UENR3112 ?Torque Converter and Transmission - Remove and Install? to remove the transmission.
Follow UENR3112 ?Transmission ? Disassemble? and ?Transmission ? Assemble? to replace the parts listed for the appropriate group and rebuild the transmission.
While the transmission is disassembled, inspect the clutch cylinders for clutches 1-5 for any signs of missing teeth just above were the 236-2541 retaining ring is installed. See illustration below. If missing teeth are found replace the shaft group.
Follow REHS9354 to test the transmission prior to re-installation in the machine.
Follow UENR3112 ?Torque Converter and Transmission - Remove and Install? to re-install the transmission in the machine.

If there has been a previous repair, part age/hours will apply. Retain a copy of the previous repair invoice in the dealer's records for audit purposes, and specify repair date and machine hours in the "Additional Comments" section of the warranty claim.
For after-failure repairs an additional 30 hours of labor is allowed.
