Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the track roller frames. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Track Roller Frame - Remove" for the machine that is being serviced.

Remove seal (2) from shaft assembly (1) .
Fasten a hoist to shaft assembly (1). Remove 11 bolts (4). Install two 12mm forcing screws in shaft assembly (1). Tighten the forcing screws evenly and remove shaft assembly (1). The weight of the shaft assembly is 26 kg (57 lb).
If necessary, remove ring (3) from shaft assembly (1) .Installation Procedure

If ring (3) was removed from the shaft assembly, heat the ring to a maximum temperature of 135°C (275.0°F). Install ring (3) on shaft assembly (1) .
Fasten a hoist to shaft assembly (1). Put the shaft assembly into position on the frame and install bolts (4) .
Install seal (2) on shaft assembly (1). Install the seal with the smaller diameter toward ring (3) .End By: Install the track roller frames. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Track Roller Frame - Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
